Terms of Service

These terms explain what LLM Engineer Club provides and the rules required to keep its learning experience, challenge, and public recognition useful and fair.

  • Public educational content is available without an account.
  • Club Quiz requires fair play and allows one competitive attempt per edition.
  • Publishing a result or linking a social profile always requires an explicit choice.
  • The program teaches and provides evidence; it does not guarantee employment or third-party certification.

1. Operator, scope, and acceptance

LLM Engineer Club is an educational project maintained by José Luis Cases with community contributions. These terms apply to llmengineerclub.com, its tools, APIs, challenges, leaderboards, and credentials. By using its interactive features, you accept these terms. If you disagree, you may still consult the public repository without using those features.

2. What the service provides

The service brings together an open curriculum, executable labs, in-browser tools, mock exams, a competitive challenge, contributor recognition, and verifiable credentials. Content may be corrected, expanded, or reorganized to remain technically current. Some features depend on third-party providers and infrastructure limits.

3. Access, passkeys, and Club Quiz

Most of the site requires no registration. A competitive attempt may require a passkey, an anti-bot check, and proof of control of the device. The passkey authenticates a pseudonymous credential; it does not by itself prove a person's civil identity. Each credential receives one competitive attempt per edition, except for modes explicitly identified as demonstrations. You are responsible for keeping the device and authenticator under your control.

4. Leaderboard, profiles, and credentials

After completing the challenge, you may decide whether to publish the result and link it to a compatible social profile. By doing so, you state that you control that profile and authorize display of the data identified on the publication screen, such as public name, avatar, link, score, position, and credential. You may withdraw publication; the technical attempt receipt may remain while needed to verify the edition and prevent repeats. Linking an external platform is also subject to that platform's terms and does not imply its sponsorship of LLM Engineer Club.

5. Acceptable use and fair play

You may not automate attempts, evade participation limits, impersonate profiles, extract private question banks, interfere with security or availability, manipulate timing or results, or use the service unlawfully. We may hide profiles, invalidate results, or restrict access where there are reasonable signs of fraud, automation, abuse, or security risk. Moderation decisions may be reviewed when you provide verifiable evidence.

6. Content, code, and contributions

Educational content and code in the public repository are provided under the licenses stated in LICENSE.md: CC BY 4.0 for content and MIT for code. The brand, site design, private assessment banks, and security mechanisms are not licensed by that rule unless expressly stated. Contributions are also governed by CONTRIBUTING.md.

7. Privacy and communications

Data processing is described in the privacy policy. The site uses no cookies. Email communications about LLM Engineering content, news, offers, events, and meetups require an optional, specific, separate, unticked checkbox. Only when you accept it while linking X do we retrieve your verified email once; the address is encrypted before storage and OAuth tokens are discarded. You can withdraw consent in Club Quiz and through the free unsubscribe link in every message. Authorizing result publication does not authorize advertising.

8. Availability and liability

The service is provided for educational purposes and may contain errors or be temporarily unavailable. It is not professional, legal, financial, or security advice and does not guarantee passing third-party exams, employment, or any particular outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for decisions made solely from the content. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms when the service, infrastructure, or legal requirements change. The review date identifies the applicable version; material changes will be shown clearly before they affect new competitive participation. Spanish law applies without limiting mandatory rules or consumer rights that apply in a participant's place of residence.

10. Contact

For questions about the service or these terms, open a request in the official GitHub repository. Do not post personal information, credentials, or secrets in a public issue.
